It’s the final event of the season on Sunday 2nd September so I hope you can make it to Stonehaugh for a 10.00 Start. There is a campsite next to the event centre if you want to stay overnight – no need to book but here is the phone number if you prefer 01434 230798.
Parking is in the woodyard at the edge of the villageto avoid clogging up the main village street so please cycle to the event centre at Stonehaugh Village Hall where refreshments will be on sale all day.Cooked breakfast is available at 9am if you order in advance by email to email@example.com
Expect a fast, complex course from planner Steve Watson who, along with help and guidance from master map maker Jens Strain, has produced a course using an interesting mix of tracks ,trails, forest roads, quiet lanes and singletrack bridleways. Avoiding the horrors of the ” boggy wastelands ” to the North that were encountered last year, route choice will be crucial but, with a bit of thought, Steve expects a few people to come close to clearing up if they can ride over 100k in the 4 hours…theres a challenge for you! This being the 4th event Steve has mapped here, he has used all his knowledge to good effect after many visits over recent months,so let’s support him and his helpers along as well as all event planners to make this a day to remember.
Prizegiving will take place at 3.30 in the village hall so please stay to applaud the winners on the day and the NEMBOS Series Category winners. Hope to see you there.
